Andaman & Nicobar Islands

  District of South Andamans is one of the three Districts of Andaman & Nicobar Islands is located in between longitude   E 92° to E 94°’ and latitude N 6°’ to N 14°’  in the Bay of Bengal Region . The Total Area of South Andamans District is 2980 Sq.Km .  There are four primitive tribes in the South Andamans District and they have been recognised as belonging to the Negrito stock, namely Onges,Jarawas,Great Andamanese and Sentinalese besides Nicobarese have been settled at Harminder Bay. The District of South Andaman has three tehsils namely “Port Blair”,” Ferrargunj”,”Little Andaman”. The Geographical,educational,economical and few other details are given below:
